Gurmeet K. Sodhi is a television host; producer and one of the youngest South Asian female to launch her own LIVE talk show - GS with GS. She is an icon in the international and entertainment communities.
GS with GS started with a concept of fun and Gup Shup (chit chat) and seems to be evolving everyday with viewers and fans requests all around the globe. Gurmeet has made it a mission to bring entertainment with education and awareness of things around us that affect us on everyday basis. Through her show she wants to inspire people to fulfill their own dreams and fantasies through entertainment that is engaging, uplifting, and of course, fun!
Gurmeet stepped into the LIVE talk show arena in 2003 and has never looked back since. She has broken down barriers to become one of the most admired and watched individuals in the media today. Sodhi is widely recognized and respected in her community for starting a show outside the box of Bollywood. GS with GS launched in April of 2009 and has already become the talk of the town with guests from all across the world.
Sodhi is one of the youngest females in the South Asian community to be awarded and recognized by many for her entrepreneurial skills and leadership qualities. She has been awarded by Hon. Thomas Souzzi - Nassau County Executive for Leadership and Community Service in 2009; NYS Assemblyman Robert Walker as a Woman of Distinction in 2008; Business Woman Entrepreneur - Leadership for Minority Women owned business in 2006.
Gurmeet continues to give back to the community by being a founder and director of South Asian Chamber of Commerce and actively participating in community events. She empowers women and gives back to the community through her philanthropic work. Gurmeet engages and encourages her viewers by filming episodes where she reaches out to community-based programs to assist underprivileged children, the homeless, soup kitchens and various other needy organizations.
